family
her mother was a genius vuzhalki, unusually curious about humans, she often ventured beyond snezhnaya’s forests to study and aid them. after the belyi tsar's fall, she became interested in the fatui and eventually met zandik. fiercely devoted to virelle, she raised her as a daughter and protégé, passing down all her knowledge.
| species: the vuzhalki are an ancient species of serpent fae native to snezhnaya’s forests. predominantly female, they are exceptionally rare and naturally gifted in magic. traditionally reclusive, they rarely revealed themselves to humans, becoming associated with legends of witches and sorceresses. as the fae declined, their numbers dwindled, leaving the vuzhalki among the rarest surviving fae species. |
her relationship with zandik was volatile yet intellectual, built on fascination, arguments, and shared experimentation. despite their estrangement, she came to see him as a father and mentor. after returning from the akademiya, the segments became her teachers, continuing his influence.
